Hello, My Name is Elijah Farinella

Thank you for stopping by and even wanting to get to know me a little more.

For me, ever since I could remember I was writing. I wrote little messy stories of dragons in these pamphlet books in kindergarten. Me and my friend created comic books in middle school with him doing the art and I wrote the story. Though they were a little cringy as they were Fortnight comic books we created.

But, actually trying to tackle writing a full book started when I was 14. I just remembered reading my favorite epic fantasy books (J.R. Tolkien and Brandon Sanderson obviously being the greatest authors!) and that started to plant within me my own ideas for a world of my own.

Today, I am attending Heartland Baptist Bible College, where I get to study the greatest book of all: the Bible. My goal is to somehow find time between class and work to eventually get my first novel published.

Why I Write

I believe stories carry power. Jesus himself used stories called parables to convey spiritual meaning. I believe stories are a way to reflect our deepest fears, struggles, and heartache with the shining hope that we can have victory over them.

I write because I want to confront the questions we humans avoid out of fear, but not to say that we shouldn’t enjoy a good adventure while we are doing that.
